![]() If a patient arrives at a healthcare provider appointment and reports or is believed to be symptomatic, the patient will be sent home with instructions for of minimal person-to-person contact and to be tested for COVID-19. If a patient is experiencing mild to moderate symptoms, the health provider will instruct the patient to stay home for an incubation period of no less than 14 days with instruction of minimal person-to-person contact, or until the patient experiences severe symptoms (for example, shortness of breath) patients experiencing severe symptoms will be instructed to report to the local Emergency Department. If a patient is home and believes he/she may be experiencing Coronavirus symptoms, prior to arriving at the facility, the patient should call the healthcare provider to discuss symptoms. The following measures may be adjusted to suit patient and or clinic needs: Front desk staff will ensure patients are made aware of clinic Coronavirus precautions and protocol during patient interactions and appointment reminder calls. ![]() Patients with two (2) or more symptoms will not be granted access to the clinic and will be further assessed and provided additional instruction.Īll staff will engage in proper hand hygiene practices, wear adequate PPE and use caution when engaging in all person-to-person contact throughout the clinic. The form includes any symptoms or signs of COVID-19 the patient might be experiencing. Patients will need to complete a self-attestation form before they are able to be seen. As a preventative measure, COMC will only allow NECESSARY family members/caregivers to accompany patients to appointments. As an alternative to in-person care, telehealth services will be available to patients during normal business hours (Mondays through Fridays from 8:15am-5pm). COMC will provide in-person care Mondays through Fridays, from 8:15am to 5pm.
